Ruby F. Barringer

Funeral services for Ruby F. Barringer, 45, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Promise Land Baptist Church with Brother Myrton Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery in Diboll.

Mrs. Barringer was born August 3, 1968 in Lufkin, Texas to Melvin Raymond and Ruby Frances (Johnson) Thompson, and died Thursday, April 17, 2014 in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and was a phlebotomist. Mrs. Barringer was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Barringer of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Tyler Dawson, Lorie and E.J. Wilde, all of Lufkin, and Andi and Justin Robicheaux of Conroe; sons and daughter-in-law, Trey Mettlen and Larry and Brandi Barringer, all of Lufkin; eight grandchildren; parents, Melvin R. and Frances Thompson of Diboll; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin Ray and Teresa Thompson and Bubba and Ragena Thompson, all of Diboll; parents-in-law, Taft and Joycie Barringer of Lufkin; special friend, Missy Jones of Diboll; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Dawson, Chip Thompson, Jared Thompson, Jimmy Dale Jones, Jake Hale and Stephen Badeaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Barringer and Larry Barringer.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
