Funeral services for Nora Capps Havard, 84, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tim Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Havard was born October 8, 1929 in Huntington, Texas to William Thomas “Tom” and Jewell (King) Capps, and died Friday, April 11, 2014 in Lufkin.
Mrs. Havard resided in the Lufkin area most of her life. She was a retired teacher, the original owner of The Clothes Rack, and later owned Flatteries Dress Shop. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Liz Havard of Nacogdoches; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Jim Amerine of Barnes; grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley and Cody Blake, Cassidy and Cory Owens, Lori Odom, Colby and Lanae Amerine, Kim and Randy White, and Carrie and Jared Baker; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Hayden Capps of Huntington and J.T. Capps of Diboll; sisters and brother-in-law, Maggie Driskell of Lufkin and Carolyn and Aubrey Elliott of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, A.G. Havard.
Pallbearers will be Colby Amerine, Cody Blake, Corey Owens, Austin Blake, Mason Amerine and Cameron Blake.
The family extends their thanks and appreciation to the caring staff at Neches House for their excellent care of the entire family.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
