Diane Butler

Funeral services for Diane Butler, 59, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher and Brother Don Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Mrs. Butler was born May 30, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to Jack and Billie Jack (Brown) Nerren, and died Friday, March 28, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Butler was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She worked as a registered nurse for 41 years, not only in East Texas (including 18 years at Memorial Hospital) but all over the United States. She was a member of Herty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Morgan Butler of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Maegan and Russell Wright of Garrison; granddaughter, Madison Wright of Garrison; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and David Alsbrooks of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Kathy Caton of Huntington; nieces, Kayla Caton of Huntington and Lindsey Rice and husband Luther of Lufkin; nephew, Travis Phillips and wife Courtney of Lufkin; great-nephews, Gavin Phillips, Griffin Phillips and Ledger Rice, all of Lufkin; special aunt, Doris Roebuck of Nederland; and special friend, Deedee Bates of Pollok.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Travis Phillips, David Johnson, Luther Rice, Kelly Russell, Hershel Shoemaker and Russell Wright.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
