Funeral services for Jackie W. Jordan, 68, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Moats officiating. Masonic graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Duncan Cemetery in Good Springs, Rusk County, under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Jordan was born April 15, 1945 in Henderson, Texas to Barnett and Ava Mae (Franklin) Jordan, and went to be with his Lord Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Jordan was a 1963 graduate of Grapeland High School and a 1964 graduate of Tyler Commercial College. He had resided in Lufkin since 1965 and was a retired welder for Mustang Tractor. Mr. Jordan loved to fish. He was a mason with the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M., and a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Janie Jordan of Lufkin; son, Jeff Jordan and wife Kristie of Beaumont; daughter and son-in-law, Julie Jordan Sharp and husband Buddy of Palestine; granddaughters, Katherine Jordan of Nacogdoches, Anna Jordan of College Station, Callie Jordan and Julianna Jordan, both of Beaumont; grandsons, Bo Sharp and J.T. Sharp, both of Palestine; great-grandson, Christian Buck Barnhart of Nacogdoches; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bobbie Raines; and brother, James Jordan.

Pallbearers will be Robert Adams, Ken Reeves, Wade Moore, Matt Jordan, Jamie Jordan and Edsel Smith.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
