Gary Leland Jones

Funeral services for Gary Leland Jones, 68, of the Bald Hill Community, will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Maynard Phillips and Brother Bill Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mr. Jones was born August 25, 1945 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Hazel (Trahan) and Curtis Leland Jones. He died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Jones was retired from Lufkin Industries’ Trailer Plant following 42 years of service. He loved motorcycles and his ’67 Camaro. He also loved his children and grandchildren. Mr. Jones was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and had lived in Angelina County all his life.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Waylon and Kellie Jones of Coldspring, and Phillip Jones of Pasadena; daughter and son-in-law, Carman and Keith Morris of Huntington; grandchildren, Lexie Morris, Aaron Morris, Westin Morris, Jaylyn Jones, Brailey Loeffler, Autumn Loeffler, Callie Long, and Lindsey Long; sisters and brother-in-law, Dovie and Jack Berry, Cindy Jones; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Jones; and a brother, Gail Jones.

Pallbearers will be Waylon Jones, Ray Loving, Keith Morris, Keith Jones, Kevin Jones, and Bro. Charles Williams.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
