Geraldine Marie Salyer

Geraldine Salyer was born June 12, 1925 in Chandler, Oklahoma. She died Thursday, March 6, 2014 in a Diboll nursing facility at the age of 88. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Salyer was a retired Administrative Assistant. Formerly of Stillwater, Oklahoma, she had lived in Angelina County for the past seven years.

She is survived by her son, Ronald L. Salyer of Arlington, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Kayla and Steve Richert of Lufkin; grandsons, Robert, Stuart, Stephen, Alex, Todd, and Andrew; and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Salyer was preceded in death by her father, D.C. Barton; mother, Beulah Mayfield Willis; husband, Truman L. Salyer; and daughter, Sharon Lee Benson.
