William C. "Bill" Tullis

Funeral services for William C. “Bill” Tullis, 60, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ross Black officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Rockland Cemetery in Houston County.

Mr. Tullis was born March 7, 1953 in Lufkin, Texas to Rosie Lee (Herring) and E.D. Tullis, Sr., and died Monday, February 24, 2014 in Jacinto City.

Formerly of Tyler, Mr. Tullis had resided in Lufkin since 2000. He served in the U.S. Army and was an LVN, working for the Texas Department of Corrections and the Lufkin State Supported Living Center.

Survivors include his son, William Blake Tullis of Kilgore; sister, Mattie Mize of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, E.D. Tullis, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Tullos, Randy Herring, Donnie Reeves, Ronnie Reeves, Brett Tullos and Jason Dodds.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
