Edna Jones

Funeral services for Edna Jones, 74, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Brother Keith Woolf and Brother Kenneth Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Ms. Jones was born October 3, 1939 in Lufkin, Texas to Robert and Flossie (Nerren) Jones, and died Monday, February 17, 2014 at home.

Ms. Jones retired from the Lufkin Industries Trailer Division. She loved to read, go to church, quilt, crochet and work puzzles. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Survivors include her granddaughters, Brandi Lee Norsworthy and husband Gary of Lufkin, Coby Bounds and husband Timothy of Huntington, Nicole Davenport and husband Krystopher of Lufkin and Noell Oliver of Hudson; grandson, Dakota Tomon of Lufkin; a number of great-grandchildren; sisters, Naomi Ellington and husband E.W. and Sylvia Jones, all of Lufkin; close friend, Merlyn Jones of Arkansas; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Wallace; daughter, Debra Wallace; and sister, Robbie Grimes.

Pallbearers will be John Young, Matthew Burton, David Willis, Cody Weaver, Sean Rice, Westley Bray, James Mayo and Terry Lee.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
