Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas Brett Luker will be celebrated Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Joe Kannampuzha, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

A rosary for Mr. Luker will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Luker was born September 27, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas, and died Friday, January 24, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Luker was employed as the Chief Dialysis Technician for Dialysis Clinic, Inc., and had lived in Lufkin most of his life. He served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Luker liked to fish and loved to cook. He was loved very much by his family and had a very generous heart. Mr. Luker was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Luker of Lufkin; his children, Brittany and Nathaniel of Lufkin; grandson, Nicholas Reza; mother, Dorothy Luker of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Connie Gentry of Lufkin, Wesley and Rhonda Luker of Prosper, Texas, and Willie and Stacia Luker of Lufkin; sister, Stacy Barker of Lufkin; as well as various nieces, nephews and their children.

Pallbearers will be Todd Gentry, Brent Gentry, Kevin Gentry, Russell Luker, Larry Landrum, and Danny Steel.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Hart, Antonio Barker, Mike Lovelace, and Ali Reza Ghergherehchi.

The family will receive friends prior to the rosary from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
