Funeral services for Beverly Ruth Weaver, 68, of Burke will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Myrton Thompson and Brother Tommy Forse officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Weaver was born December 27, 1945 in Orange, Texas to Nolan Charles and Hilda Ruth (Huffpour) Boulet, and died Monday, December 30, 2013 in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Weaver had resided in Burke for 37 years. She earned a BA from Lamar University and worked for Parker Industries (formerly Moore Business Forms) for 15 years. Mrs. Weaver loved oil painting and raising goats. She was a charter member of Jubilee Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jimmy Nash of Corrigan; grandchildren, Wyatt Nash and Ethan Nash, both of Corrigan; one brother; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends, particularly her church family at Jubilee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Joseph Weaver; and brother, Larry Boulet.
Pallbearers will be Carl Ferguson, Freeman Thompson, Trey Thompson, Robert Odom, Steve Myers and Delbert Ellison.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon prior to the services.
