Richard Don "Richie" Luce

Funeral services for Richard Don “Richie” Luce, 50, of Pollok, will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clawson Assembly of God Church with Brother Kevin Poage and Brother Kenneth Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Mr. Luce was born August 19, 1963 in Lufkin, Texas and died Friday, December 27, 2013 in Angelina County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mr. Luce was a truck driver and had lived in Pollok all his life. He was a member of Clawson Assembly of God Church. Mr. Luce loved driving log trucks and operating heavy equipment. He always helped other people before himself. He enjoyed fishing, working outside and gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Taylor Luce of Lufkin; granddaughter, Aubree Kate Davis of Lufkin; mother, Marie Luce of Lufkin; sister, Patti Luce of Onalaska; brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Della Luce of Onalaska; nephews, Jason Tobias, Chris Tobias, Dakota Luce and Andy Strisko; niece, Hannah Luce; mother of his daughter, Milette Lovejoy; as well as other great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Wayne Luce, and his grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Musick, Bimbo Welch, John Ed Wallace, Frankie Thompson, Richard Dixon and Buddy Atkinson

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Davis, Ricky Roberts, and Denton Metts.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
