Anna Hale

June 28, 1942 — December 6, 2013

Anna Hale, 71, of Lufkin died Friday, December 6, 2013 in a local nursing home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church with Reverend Art Callaham officiating.

Mrs. Hale was born June 28, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Raymond and Willie Mae (Medley) Crain. A former resident of Houston, she had resided in Lufkin for 19 years. She was a past president and active member of the Lufkin Evening Lions Club and a member of numerous dance clubs. She enjoyed bowling in a league at Lufkin Lanes. Mrs. Hale was a member of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Michael Morgan of Missouri City and Rhonda and Michael Baldry of Houston; grandsons, James, David, Stephen and Aaron Baldry, and Matthew Morgan; granddaughter, Patricia Morgan; sister, Betty Phelps of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, John and Catherine Crain of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Patrick Charles Hale; and brother-in-law, Jack Phelps.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice, Southland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, and Dr. David Glenn for years of faithful care.
