Linda J. Davidson

Funeral services for Linda J. Davidson, 66, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Clayton McClendon officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Mrs. Davidson was born February 6, 1947 in Angelina County, Texas, and died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her residence. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and retired from the Lufkin State Supported Living Facility. Mrs. Davidson was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Steve Bridges of Lufkin and Karen and Jerry Atkins of Dublin, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Bonita Davidson, Richard and Shawn Davidson, all of Lufkin, and Larry and Kay Bailey of Wells; grandchildren, Ashley Daniels, Johnny Davidson, Jr., Jesse Davidson, Katie Davidson, Sean Wittmann, Brittney Havard, Sarah Linton, David Henson, Tyler Young, Vendela Young, Bradley Bailey, Crystal Bailey and Scott Bridges; great-grandchildren, Blaine Daniels, Ryder Daniels, Addison Daniels, Laceann Cannon, Parker Henson, Gabe Enloe, Khyler Hutto, JessiKate Davidson and Knox Wittmann; parents, Arvil T. and Virgie Mae (Caples) Johnson of Lufkin; brother, Ray Johnson of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wayne Davidson July 10, 2013; and brother, Michael Lee Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Davidson, Jr., Jesse Lee Davidson, David John Henson, Scott Bridges, Sean Wittmann and Johnny “Buster” Stringer, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
