Betty O'Quinn Smith

Funeral services for Betty O’Quinn Smith, 82, of Wells will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born July 22, 1931 in Wells, Texas to the late Johnnie (Kilgore) and Bryan O’Quinn. She died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a beloved mother and grandmother. She was a member of the United Faith Church and had lived in Wells most of her life.

Survivors include include her daughter, Susie Smith Johnson of Wells; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Debbie Smith of Wells; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Roy Thomas Smith; three brothers; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Kasey Johnson, Cody Parker, Brady Smith, Brad Smith and Todd Basham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Basham, Clint Smith and Charles Wortham.

The family extended a special thanks to Dr. S. Karnati, Harbor Hospice Tyler, Amanda Meshell, Tammy Williams and Sheree Bell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
