Funeral services for Amarie Rodriguez, 20 months, of Odessa will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Poage officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
Amarie was born February 6, 2012 in Odessa, Texas, and died Sunday, October 13, 2013 in a Houston hospital. She and her mother had resided in Nacogdoches for 3 months.
Amarie was a wonderful little girl. The people who knew her would be able to tell you how beautiful she was inside and out. She was a great dance partner to have if you ever wanted to have a random dance party in your living room. If you ever needed a hug she was the one to go to. You could always count on it to be big and full of love. She will be greatly missed and could only wish we could have spent more time with her because she truly was a blessing.
Survivors include her mother, Crystal Rodriguez of Nacogdoches; father, Raymond Becerra of Odessa; brother, Bryson Rodriguez of Odessa; sister, Alexis Salazar of Odessa; grandparents, Deanna and David Sanders of Lufkin and Sandra and Pedro Brown, Sr. of Odessa; great-grandparents, Judy and Billy Chaney of Lufkin and Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez of Odessa; aunts, Mary Rodriguez of Nacogdoches and Abriella Sanders of Lufkin; and uncles, Daniel Alridge of Odessa, Pedro Becerra, Jr., Daniel Becerra and Zackari Villansenor, all of Odessa.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Rodriguez.
Pallbearers will be Orlando Cobos, Dave Sanders and Billy Chaney.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
