A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Arthur H. Foster, 79, of Lufkin, will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at the First Lutheran Church located at 1001 Atkinson Drive in Lufkin.
Mr. Foster was born February 28, 1934 in Preble, New York to the late Dorthea (Brown) and Harold H. Foster. He died Thursday, August 9, 2013 in Tyler County.
Mr. Foster was a machinist/machine repairman and had lived in Lufkin for the past 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking, electronics, “tinkering” on anything, and flying B-52’s and B-36’s. Mr. Foster served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Foster of Lufkin; sons, William A. Foster and family, Robert A. Foster and family, Brock A. Foster and family, Steve Foster and family, and Michael Foster and family; and sister, Susan Flathers and family.
