Funeral services for Lisa Villela Miranda, 44, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Trevor Kelly and James Littlefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.
Mrs. Miranda was born July 10, 1969 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, and died Friday, September 6, 2013 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Miranda was a Manager for Ray’s Drive In, where she had been employed for 18 years. She was a member of Lufkin First Assembly of God Church. She was married to a wonderful and loving husband who stood by her side until the end. She had a beautiful smile, sweet spirit, and was loved by many. Lisa lived her life to the fullest. She always put others before herself. She loved to joke and wanted everyone to be happy. Lisa never met a person that she didn’t befriend. Her family and friends meant the world to her. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She will be truly missed. She’s gone, but not forgotten.
Survivors include her husband, Frank “Tuffy” Miranda of Lufkin; sons, Devon Orozco and Gabriel Rosales, both of Lufkin; daughter, Christina Orozco of Lufkin; stepdaughters, Ashley Porter and husband Lance of Nacogdoches, Crystal Miranda and Haley Miranda, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandson, Noah Porter of Nacogdoches; mother, Isabel (Salinas) Coleman of Hudson; sisters, Maricela Parker and husband Joey of Hudson and Elaine Rosales and husband Salomon of Lufkin; brothers, Tino Villela and wife Sandra of Diboll and Eddie Villela and wife Patty of Hudson; father-in-law, Frank Miranda of Corrigan; mother-in-law, Fay Groover and husband Ralph of Lufkin; brothers-in-law, David Turner and wife Debbie of Lufkin, Kenny Dearmond and wife Priscilla of Plantersville, Texas and Lynn Ray Turner of Zavalla; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Turner of Lufkin and Deborah Morado and husband Greg of Corrigan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Faustino Villela, and sister, Rose Marie Villela.
Pallbearers will be Devon Orozco, Paul Murdock, Anthony Doss, Joey Parker, Antonio Maldonado, Eddie Villela, Dustin DuPree, Salomon Rosales and Lance Porter.
Honorary pallbearer will be Tom Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
