Graveside services for Virginia LaForge, 69, of Gary will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Corinth Cemetery in Gary with Brother Matt Comer officiating.
Mrs. LaForge was born May 23, 1944 in Dumas, Texas to William Reed and Edith (Simpson) Saunders, and died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Lufkin.
A former resident of Lufkin, Mrs. LaForge had resided in Gary for nine years. She was a retired registered nurse and was a member of the East Texas Patriot Guard Riders. Mrs. LaForge attended the Still Waters Cowboy Church in Carthage.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Tonya LaForge of Lufkin and Russell and Tonia LaForge of Huntington; granddaughters, Karley LaForge and Kendall LaForge, both of Lufkin; grandsons, Justin LaForge of Lufkin and Andrew Day of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Dale Slagle of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John LaForge; four brothers; and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Robert Palka, Harold Whitlock, Lewis Long, Wayne Utzman, Armando Salas and Joe Boren.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
