Claudie Paul "C.P." Carroll

Funeral services for Claudie Paul “C.P.” Carroll, 84, of Huntington will be held Monday, September 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Adrian Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.

Mr. Carroll was born September 24, 1928 in Angelina County, Texas to Claudie Clay and Verna (Moran) Carroll, and died Friday, August 30, 2013 in a local nursing home. He was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Mr. Carroll was a mechanic at Mustang Tractor for over 20 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his faithful companion, Shannon Thomas of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Tony Davidson, Kelly and Charles Garner, all of Huntington, Marla and Shane Jansen of Buna, Ann and John Jones of Conroe, Peggy Carroll of Etoile, and Pat Ricks of Diboll; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Zoe Carroll of Hudson, Johnny Carroll of Lufkin, Jimmy Carroll and fiancée Minerva McDaniel of Waco, and David and Stephanie Carroll of Lufkin; 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Gladys Carroll of Colorado; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynnise and Charles Rice of Lindale and Alice and Frankie Heaton of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Crocker Carroll; daughter, June Garton; infant son, Paul Anthony Carroll; and sister, Evelyn Morris.

Pallbearers will be Ray Lamb, Travis Davidson, Devon Davidson, Shane Jansen, Charles Garner and Ray Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be the mechanics and co-workers at Mustang Tractor.

The family extends special thanks to Huntington Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and Dr. Lenin Pinnamaneni for their excellent care of Mr. Carroll.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
