Iris Jeanine Hill

Funeral services for Iris Jeanine Hill, 47, of Wells will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Josh Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Brother M.L. Walters officiating.

Mrs. Hill was born December 11, 1965 in Dallas, Texas, and died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in a local hospital. She had resided in Wells for 17 years. Mrs. Hill was employed at Rusk State Hospital. She loved her daughter, and enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church in Alto.

Survivors include her husband, Troy Hill of Wells; daughter, Aaliyah Joann Hill of Wells; parents, Ira and Janice (Hays) Brown of San Augustine; sister, Deborah Vann of Woodville; nieces, Krystle VanPelt and Amber Vann; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Cullen Brown and sister, Jeanette Brown.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Jones, Steve Holcombe, Josh Lindsey, James Gulledge, Tony Ford, Tony U. Ford and Marlon Ford.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
