Dena Mcguire

Graveside services for Dena McGuire, 56, of Pollok will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan with Brother Carlos Martinez officiating.

Mrs. McGuire was born January 19, 1957 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Mrs. McGuire was a dietician. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, and making dolls. She was a member of the Thomas Crossing United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry McGuire; daughter, Amanda Pope; son, Gregory Dale Long; stepdaughter, Stacie O’Neal; stepsons, Joseph Shannon McGuire and Jeff McGuire; mother, Tommie Jean (Hickman) Fox; special friends, Felicia Guidry, Karen Flanagan and Ruby Martinez; and numerous grandchildren and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, W.J. Hanson; and stepfather, Glen Fox.
