Mrs. Roy was born September 3, 1958 in Cuthbert, Georgia to Harold Waller and Helen (Weathersby) Nunnally, and died Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Liberty County, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Tana Nunnally Roy was a woman of profound faith, work ethic, and love for family. We remember her as a woman who would drop anything for her children and sacrificed much of her life to care for her family. She was a solid rock to lean on and a woman who loved God, was loved by God, and showed God’s love to others. Her sense of humor pervaded everyday life, and her one of a kind laugh was ever-present. The Bible says that a Godly woman is worthy of honor. As her family, we want to honor her as the Godly daughter, wife, and mother that she was and will always be.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Kevin Roy of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Brittany and Greg Duyka of Houston; son, Brian Roy and girlfriend who is like a daughter, Hannah Goodwin of College Station; sisters and brother-in-law, Jenny Nunnally Young of Bossier City, Louisiana, Lori and John James Marshall of Kansas City, Kansas and Erin Nunnally of Bossier City, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Patsy Roy of Bossier City, Louisiana; and nephews and nieces, John David Carrier, Jackson Carrier, Jessica Machen and husband Jonathan, Joey Young, Jordan Harris and husband Aaron, J.J.
