Funeral services for Lou Etta McLain, 88, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Jones and Jim McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Appleby, Texas.
Mrs. McLain was born April 25, 1925 in Dublin, Texas to Joe S. and Serena (Howell) Broseh, and died Friday, August 2, 2013 at her residence. She resided in Lufkin most of her life and was a retired beautician. Mrs. McLain was a member of the Union Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie McLain of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie W. and Lenora McLain of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and George Bennett of Tyler; grandchildren, Pam and Jeff Baird, Philip McLain, Steve and Sheila Cloyd, Debi and Paul Morales, Amy and Taylor Mooney; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Minnie Helfers of Arlington; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Cloyd; and seven siblings.
Pallbearers will be Philip McLain, Steve Cloyd, Jeff Baird, Christopher Sneigoski, Michael Sneigoski and Taylor Mooney.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
