Clarita Hampton

Funeral services for Clarita Hampton, 80, of Pollok will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Walter Futch and Brother Rex Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Hampton was born September 25, 1932 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Clara (Lambert) and George Terry Youngblood, and died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hampton was a homemaker most of her life and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and the Jolly Seniors Sunday school class. Mrs. Hampton loved her church and was a very active member.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Billy Hampton of Pollok; daughter, Cindy Hampton Scheepstra of Hudson; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Rhonda Hampton and Frederick and Margaret Hampton, all of Pollok; grandchildren and spouses, Scott Carrell of Lufkin, Stefanie and Adren Anglin of Huntington, Lindsay and Miles Fortner of Arlington, Kyle and Regina Hampton of Pollok, Lacey and Colby Crawford of Huntington, Meagan Hampton and Chloe Hampton, both of Pollok; great-grandchildren, Cailie Engle of Huntington, Payton Fortner of Arlington, LeeAnna Carrell of Lufkin, Kalli Anglin of Diboll, Megan Marie Woodard of Lufkin, Kirsten Lynn Woodard of Houston, and Clara Beth Crawford of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Wayne Gray of Joaquin; nephew and wife, Rex and Peggy Gray of Lufkin; and niece and husband, Shannon and Lorenzo Sanchez of Midland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Nell and Bobby Watson; niece, Emily Claire Watson; and son-in-law, Ronald Scheepstra.

Pallbearers will be Scott Carrell, Kyle Hampton, Miles Fortner, Adren Anglin, Colby Crawford and Rex Gray.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
