David Leslie Slack

Funeral services for David Leslie Slack, 69, of Crockett will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Tim Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Slack was born July 9, 1944 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Lavigna (Foster) and Leslie I. Slack, and died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Slack was a 1962 graduate of Lufkin High School, and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. He was the retired owner of Leslo Sales in Crockett. He will be remembered as a person who lived life to its fullest. Mr. Slack loved his family and friends, and would do anything to help them.

Survivors include his daughter, Hannah Leigh Slack of Leander; sons, David Allen Slack of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Bradley Foster Slack of Houston; grandchildren, Maxine and Leslie Guidry; brother and sister-in-law, James and Janie Slack of Lufkin; nieces, Shannon Hofmann of Liberty Hill, Jessica Nester of Southlake and Cameron Bradley of Cedar Park; and aunts, Helen Bruce of Tyler, Alta Slack of Lufkin and Marwayne Leipzig of Seattle, Washington.

Pallbearers will be Robert Slack, Edward Bruce, Terry Clifton, John Hofmann, David Allen Slack and Bradley Foster Slack.
