Orell Slover Kinnaird

Services for Orell Slover Kinnaird, 94, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Kevin Roy officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kinnaird was born August 13, 1918 in Dialville, Texas to the late Pauline (Frizzell) and William Abney Slover. She died Saturday, June 29, 2013 in a Lufkin nursing facility.

Mrs. Kinnaird had worked in the Loan Department at First National Bank/RegionsBank for 12 years. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Kinnaird was a member of the First Christian Church and had taught the high school Sunday School Class. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She had a big heart, loved everyone, and never met a stranger. Mrs. Kinnaird had lived in Lufkin most of her life.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Pat Kinnaird of Tyler and Jack Kinnaird of Lufkin; five grandchildren, Shane Kinnaird, John Kinnaird, Eddie Kinnaird, Jamie Bridgewater and Brian Bridgewater; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Floyd of Dallas; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Kinnaird was preceded in death by her husband, Luearl Brown Kinnaird; sister, Adell Poland; and brothers, Charles Slover and Drummond Slover.
