Becky Lynn Baggett

Memorial services for Becky Lynn Baggett, 60, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bob Klund officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baggett was born July 14, 1953 in Malvern, Arkansas, and died Friday, July 19, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Baggett was a 1971 graduate of Lufkin High School, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry in 1975 from Stephen F. Austin State University. She was a member of the MT(ASCP) and was a Medical Technologist at Memorial Health Systems of East Texas for over 20 years and was known fondly as “BB”. Mrs. Baggett attended the Believers Bible Church.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Michael Baggett of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Tyson McMullen of Sugar Land and Lacey and Chris Searcy of League City; grandson, Cole Searcy of League City; granddaughter due in August, Alison McMullen; parents, Wayne and Betty Nelson of Glasco, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and William Pennington of Iowa; mother-in-law, Gwen Odom of Lufkin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Connie and Robert Carr of Lufkin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Coy and Andra Baggett of Lumberton; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas McCager Baggett, Jr.
