Tommy "Tom" "T.J." Martin

Funeral services for Tommy “Tom” “T.J.” Martin, 33, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with his grandfather, Brother Bob Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Cemetery.

Tommy was born June 30, 1980 in Huntsville, Texas, and died Friday, July 5, 2013. He was a 1998 graduate of Woden High School and was employed with Nabors Drilling. Tommy was a member of the Lotus Lane Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jillian Martin of Lufkin; daughter, Maddison Lynn Martin of Lufkin; son, Maddox Elliott Martin of Lufkin; mother, Becky Landrum of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Linda May of Huntington; stepmother, Rhonda Short of Lufkin; father-in-law and wife, Ken and Arlene May of New York City, New York; grandparents, Bob and Melba Smith of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Sheilah Reynae and Joshua Gross of Lufkin; brothers and sister-in-law, James DeWayne “Jamie” and Alicia Martin and Tommy Dwayne Martin, both of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Jarrid Huminiski of Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews, Britany Leal, Mercedes Leal, Makenzie Gross, Jovier Thomas, Zakery Martin and Zoey Martin, all of Lufkin; and a host of extended family who dearly loved him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, April Deane Landrum; niece, Zaney Lynn Martin; nephew, Christopher Gross; and also by his best friend and brother, J.R. Labrozzi.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Laningham, Kolby Labrozzi, Russell Tucker, Amos Clary, Glenn Gilbert, Josh Gross, Britt Hardin, and Josh Bryan, who were all more than friends, they were brothers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Martin and Steven Griffith.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
