Mass of Christian Burial for Rosalie Gambino, 83, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Joe Kannampuzha officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.
Mrs. Gambino was born January 29, 1930 in Niagara Falls, New York to Dominick and Sarah (LaBarbara) Culotta, and died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her residence. She had resided in Lufkin for 43 years.
Rosalie graduated from Trott Vocational, and in 1948 met and married Julian “Curley” Gambino. She worked as a waitress for over 40 years, and was a foster grandparent for the Lufkin State School. She was a devoted wife and mother, a loyal friend, and a “true lady”.
Survivors include her children, Sandy Barringer of Lufkin, Anna Marie Hogan of Texas City, Jerry Gambino and wife Frances of Texas City, Debbie Knight and husband Leo of Lufkin, Terry Regan of League City, Rose Marie Lowrey and husband Bubba of Pollok and Jimmy Gambino and wife Connie of Laredo; daughter-in-law, Connie Gambino of LaMarque; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Joseph Gambino of Niagara Falls, New York; sister-in-law, Frances Gambino of Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous nieces nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julian Gerald Gambino; son, Joe Gambino; son-in-law, James Barringer; three brothers; and one sister.
Pallbearers will be David Barringer, Billy Hogan, Michael Gambino, Shaun Knight, Cole Regan, Joseph Gambino, Richard Lowrey and Jacob Gambino.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Lowrey, Rick Gambino, Jerry Gambino, David Gambino and Matthew Regan.

A rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home with visitation following from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
