Barbara "Barbie" Kennedy Miller

Funeral services for Barbara “Barbie” Kennedy Miller, 49, of Lufkin will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Ms. Miller was born February 20, 1964 in Lufkin, Texas to Marvin Lee and Kathryn (Gilliam) Kennedy, and died Monday, June 3, 2013 in Newport News, Virginia. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and was a Certified Nurses’ Aide. Ms. Miller received Christ and was baptized at an early age at Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Brenden Klenk of Lufkin; grandson, Kaleb Matthew Klenk of Lufkin; mother, Kathryn Kennedy of Lufkin; sisters and brother-in-law, Karen and Gaylon McClendon of Diboll and Kathy Kennedy Chatman of Lufkin; brothers, Kenneth Kennedy of Houston and Paul Kennedy of Buffalo; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, M.L. Kennedy; son, Matthew “Matt” Miller; and grandparents, Bert and Etta Kennedy and Paul and Lizzie Gilliam.

Pallbearers will be Brenden Klenk, Chase Miller, Jerry Miller, Herb Chatman, Daniel Massingill and David B. Massingill.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kaleb Klenk.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Monday prior to the services.
