Anna Ruth "Nanny" Stephens Wesley

Funeral services for Anna Ruth “Nanny” Stephens Wesley, 83, of Pollok will be held Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Carriere and Brother Shane Scroggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.

Mrs. Wesley was born May 6, 1930 in Pollok, Texas to Walter Berry and Nila Ann JaRuth (Flowers) Stephens, and died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Wesley was a lifetime resident of Pollok. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wesley was a member of the Pollok Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Albert Vinson and Cathy and Robert Vinson, all of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Elizabeth Wesley of Pollok; daughter-in-law, Jackie Wesley of Warren; grandchildren, Jeremy Vinson of Tyler, Mary Anna Vinson of Pollok, Jay Vinson and wife Ashli of Lufkin, Cade Wesley of Houston, Terry Wesley, David Wesley and Chris Wesley, all of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Kaci and Lane Vinson of Tyler, Kody and Kreek Johnson of Pollok; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Joe Crawford of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Charles Ray Wesley of Lufkin; sisters-in-law, Joyce Wesley of Burleson and Dorothy Lee of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, S.L. Wesley; son, Tom Wesley; brother, Weldon Stephens; sister, Lola Bell Wyatt; and brother-in-law, Jake Wesley.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Vinson, Stephen Harrison, Jay Vinson, Cade Wesley, Joe Crawford, Jr. and Denton Metts.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
