Lucille Sills

Funeral services for Lucille Sills, 78, of Tyler will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sills was born August 13, 1934 in Nacogdoches County, Texas to Rodney Lee and Thelma (Fussell) Smith, and died Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Tyler.

Mrs. Sills was employed with Brookshire Brothers Baker for nine years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, and traveling with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Kathleen and Dwight Parrish of Lindale and Dianne Leeson of Tyler; grandchildren, Lance Adams, Chad Adams and wife Laura, Bryan Parrish and wife Kay, and Steve Parrish; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Georgie Sharp, Louise Due and Bernice Smith, all of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Wayne Sims in 1998; and brother, J.R. Smith in 1996.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Park Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 2450 East Fifth Street, Tyler, Texas 75071.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home prior to the funeral services.
