James Franklin Reeves

Graveside services for James Franklin Reeves, 83, of Richmond, Texas will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Largent Cemetery with Reverend Bud Bonner and Reverend Dean Reeves officiating.

Mr. Reeves was born March 20, 1930 in Ratcliff, Texas to James Wesley and Margaret Elizabeth (Hanson) Reeves, and died Saturday, May 11, 2013 in a Houston hospice facility. He was a machinist and tool and die maker for more than 40 years at Anderson Greenwood and CECO. Mr. Reeves was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church in Porter.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Lisa Reeves of Richmond, Greg and Debra Reeves of New Caney, James Keith and Sara Reeves of Buchanan Dam, Donny and June Reeves of New Caney, Kyle and Lynette Reeves of Houston; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ottie Fay Oliver of Klute, Bobbie White of Lufkin and Nancy Faye McAlister of Hudson; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Richard Elliott Reeves and Phillip Gordon Reeves; and the mother of his children, Billie Evelyn Reeves Marsh.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Reeves, James Oliver, Rayburn Oliver, Leroy Peden, Danny Lynn Read and Charles McAlister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 747, Porter, Texas 77365.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
