Mildred Modisette

Funeral services for Mildred Modisette, 87, of Lufkin will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lester McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Modisette was born July 6, 1925 in Clawson, Texas to Isaac Jacob and May (Poe) Tucker, and died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Lufkin. She had resided in Lufkin for 30 years. Mrs. Modisette loved music, dancing and people.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Charlotte Modisette of Tyler; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Michael Gibb of Houston; grandchildren, Rick Modisette and wife Tori of Conway, Arkansas, Jennifer Cox and husband Dayton of The Woodlands, Travis Gibb and wife Lindsey of Corpus Christi and Marette Gibb and fiancé Chris Gillen of Houston; great-grandchildren, Casen Modisette, Chloe Modisette, Madison Cox, Daniel Cox, Hudson Gibb and Cohen Gibb; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Doyce Antley of Groveton; nieces and nephews, Joyce, Eddie, Jim and Ginger; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ted Modisette.

Pallbearers will be Dayton Cox, Travis Gibb, Kevin Stagg, Rick Modisette, Matt Taylor, Chris Gillen and Truett Manning.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Redd, Eddie Redd and Derick Mize.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
