Annie Lee Turner Davis

Funeral services for Annie Lee Turner Davis, 100, of Ratcliff will be held Monday, April 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sam Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Trinity County.

Mrs. Davis was born October 24, 1912 in Ratcliff, Texas to the late John and Annie (Farr) Turner, and died Thursday, April 11, 2013 in a local hospital. A resident of Nogalus Prairie for most of her life, Mrs. Davis had resided in Lufkin since 1980. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Geraldine Goehring of Yorktown and Virginia Fenley of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Pam Davis of Lufkin and James and Odean Davis of Arkansas; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Hubert Turner; sister, Dorothy Gray; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dailey Davis; daughter, Frances Davis; and son, Clifton Davis.

Pallbearers will be Duke Goehring, Glenn Goehring, Howard Goehring, Katie Goehring, Jennifer Carter and Kirby Goehring.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
