Johnnie Lueen Foraker

Funeral services for Johnnie Lueen Foraker, 84, of Broaddus, will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Royce Quave officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the Damon Cemetery in Damon, Texas.

Mrs. Foraker was born February 12, 1929 in Burkeville, Texas to the late Minnie (Burr) and Robert Luther Whiddon. She died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her residence in Broaddus.

Mrs. Foraker was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Formerly a resident of Damon, Texas, she had lived in the Broaddus area for the past 12 years. Mrs. Foraker was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Carolyn Ann Foraker of Broaddus, Johnny and Marilyn Foraker of Damon, Jerry and Karen Foraker of Bay City, and Herman and Melanie Foraker of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Imogene and Bo Newman of Broaddus, JoAnn and J.T. Mize of Rockdale; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Lucille and Bill Taylor of Lufkin, Annie Ruth Lambright of Alexandria, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Lillian Whiddon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
