Robert Lee Biehle, Sr.

Robert Lee Biehle, Sr., 79, of Hudson, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 in a Lufkin hospital. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Biehle was born June 16, 1933 in Thorndale, Milam County, Texas to the late Helena R. (Rosenthal) and Ernest Ron Biehle. Formerly of Taylor, Texas, he had lived in the Hudson/Lufkin area for the past 36 years. Mr. Biehle was retired from the United States Navy, and worked as a mechanic/operator for 40 years. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Lufkin. Mr. Biehle was a fabulous cook who cleaned up along the way.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Verdella Biehle of Hudson; his children and their spouses, Robert Biehle, Jr. of Taylor, Deborrah Renee and Robert Thomas of Greenville, Marion M. and Charles Johnson, Thomas Biehle of Houston, Kevin G. Biehle of Taylor, and Jon Biehle of Greenville; five stepchildren; numerous grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Lena Biehle; sisters and brother-in-law, Danielle Phillips, Helen and Eddie Parker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceding Mr. Biehle in death were his parents and a brother, Carrol Biehle.
