Funeral services for Mattie Maness, 76, of Huntington, will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Jeremy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.
Mrs. Maness was born October 25, 1936 in Diboll, Texas to the late Alma Louise (Coffee) and Tom Walter Bellamy. She died Monday, April 1, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Maness was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had lived in Angelina County all her life. Mrs. Maness was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Burl and Melva Jones of Huntington; stepson. Bennie Maness and wife Debbie of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Odell and Jessie Marshall of Picayune, Mississippi; grandchildren, Waylon Jones and wife Tiffany of Lufkin, Raymond Jones and wife Kelli, Tasha Ramirez, Steven Jones, all of Huntington, Daniel Jones and wife Hope of Lufkin, and Joe Ramirez of Huntington; sixteen great grandchildren; special friend, Milly Martin of Zavalla; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Maness was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Maness; and sisters, Bobbie Jean James and Vivian Buckner.
Pallbearers will be Tim Woltz, Chris Martin, Robert Richardson, Dustin Massey, Jason Williams and Kevin Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Martin and Chuy Torres.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
