Christie Marie Allen Pullin Pope

Funeral services for Christie Marie Allen Pullin Pope, 67, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Sandra Fowler and Brother Elton Musick officiating.
Mrs. Pope was born November 17, 1945 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Mary (Christie) and Carrol Allen. She died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Pope was a nurse and had been employed at Woodland Heights Medical Center for the past 20 years. She loved nursing, and was a true caregiver. In her spare time, she enjoyed showing dogs, spending time with her grandchildren, and watching football. Mrs. Pope was a member of Redland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Pope and Jennifer Pope, both of Lufkin; grandchildren, Benjamin Pope, April Radke, Christa "Smiley" Radke Jacob Farrior, Mark Helton and Brandon Helton; great grandchild, Braylen Farrior; sister, Barbara Allen Steinmetz; half-sisters, Irene Pullin Barbosa and Cheryl Pullin Scoggins; half-brothers, Clifton Pullin, Terry Pullin and Freddy Pullin; stepsister, Nancy Mercer and husband Burl; stepbrother, Daniel Yammer; sister-in-law, Alene Hopson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benjamin "Bubba" Pope; stepfather, Ozmay Pullin; stepmother, Deloris Allen; son, James Pope; son-in-law, William "Bill" Farrior; and stepbrother, David Yammer.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
