Memorial services for Vernon Earl Beaty, 65, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Dr. Darryl Smith officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Beaty was born November 24, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Zelma (Fries) and Lon Vernon Beaty, and died Monday, September 12, 2011 at his residence. He had resided in Huntington for 32 years and owned and operated Tri-Lakes Tackle for 19 years. Mr. Beaty earned a Bachelors Degree in Guidance and Counseling and a Masters of Education from the University of North Texas in Denton.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Becky Ansel Beaty of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Tyler Hall of Grapevine; son, Andrew Vernon Beaty of Fort Worth; grandson, Oliver Andrew Hall of Grapevine; sister, Verlene Springer of Argyle; nephew, Stephen Springer of Bakersfield, California; and a number of other relatives.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Beaty's fishing buddies and the Coffee Klatch from Rayburn Country Store.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
