Funeral services for Karen Ann Lamb, 56, of Lufkin will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.
Mrs. Lamb was born July 3, 1955 in Buffalo, New York to the late Jacqueline (Kernahan) and Thomas McDonnell, and died Monday, September 26, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Lamb had resided in Lufkin since 1977 and was a secretary at Kurth Elementary School. She graduated from Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Florida and was a licensed beautician. Mrs. Lamb was a member of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park, Florida.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Peter Ray Lamb of Lufkin; daughter, Laura Stamm of Lufkin; grandchildren, Braylon Stamm and Makayla Stamm, both of Lufkin; brothers, Thomas Robert McDonnell of Orlando, Florida and Kevin Joseph McDonnell of Cape Coral, Florida; godparents, George and Betty Davis of Orlando, Florida; brothers-in-law, Carlton Deward Lamb and Bruce Lamb, both of Jesup, Georgia; niece and nephews, Shelly and Greg Koenig of Alvin, Heather and Kerry Lamb of Jesup, Georgia and Carl Lamb, Jr. of Waycross, Georgia; great-niece, Makaila Koenig of Alvin; numerous other nieces and nephews; and her co-workers at LISD who were her dearest friends.
Pallbearers will be Ed Glover, Randy Martin, Jamey Skroug, Roger Martin, Greg Koenig, Bobby Ferguson and Stacy Vann.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
