Funeral services for Larry Chase ""Kerr Dog"" Kerr, 58, of Etoile will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Holder and Reverend Cheryl Driggers officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Kerr was born November 29, 1952 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Melba Maurine ""Missy"" (Chase) and Bobby Dean Kerr, and died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in a local hospital.
A former resident of Beaumont, Mr. Kerr had resided in Etoile for 11 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Nascar and sports fan. Mr. Kerr attended the New Life Worship Center Church of Lufkin.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sherry Kerr of Etoile; daughters and sons-in-law, Chasetie Lynn and Carlos Maloy, Gayle Ann and Jon Clingman, all of Beaumont, Christal Ann Kerr, Missy Lee and Patrick Bynum and Jeannie Lynn Kerr, all of Etoile; grandchildren, Makenzie Nikole Maloy, Mason Cole Maloy, Piper Ashworth, Miller Ashworth, Christian Kerr and Spencer Bynum; brother, Kenneth Craig Kerr of Lumberton; sisters and brother-in-law, Jane Ann and Eddie Wayne Miguez of Huntington and Susan Gail Kerr of Beaumont; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kerr was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Dean Kerr, Jr.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
