Bobbie Jo Havard

Funeral services for Bobbie Jo Havard, 73, of Zavalla, will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Jackson Colwell and Brother Joel Hitchcock officiating. Interment will follow in the Tom Havard Cemetery.
Mrs. Havard was born February 4, 1938 in Houston, Texas to the late Addie (Schoubroek) and Richard Elisha Hodge. She died Saturday, October 8, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Havard had been employed as a secretary for Lufkin Industries for 15 years. She loved to crochet and play with her dog, Buster Brown. She loved her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Havard was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and lived in Zavalla most of her life.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Glenn F. Havard of Zavalla; son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Elaine Havard of Zavalla; daughters and sons-in-law, Darline Tucker of Zavalla, Glenda and Roy Howze of Livingston, and Kathy Loftin and Craig Anglin of Zavalla; brother, R.W. Hodge of Houston; grandchildren, Billy Franklin, Shandi Ibarra, Sheila Hardy, Charly Ferguson, Kristi Gantz, Magan Kahle, Shanna West, Jeffery Havard, Alicia Loftin, Joseph Havard, Adam Havard, and Patricia Havard; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Havard; grandchildren, Danny Wayne Havard and Zaney Martin; sisters, Rachel Prudhume, Johnnie Faye Reeves, and Mary Hodge; and brother, Waymon Hodge.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Havard, Adam Havard, Jeffery Havard, Jamie Martin, Edward Ibarra, Paul Hardy, Dan Kahle and Louis Gantz.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Glenn (Billy) Franklin, Kenny Ferguson and Michael West.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
