Graveside services for Travis Ronald Blake, 70, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fielder Cemetery with Brother Kevin Roy officiating.
Mr. Blake was born January 4, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Emma Bonnie (Squyres) and Travis Cecil Blake. He died Saturday, October 22, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mr. Blake was a retired mailman/clerk for the United States Postal Service following 30 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran, and a former longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. He loved going to his grandsons' ball games, and just loved sports in general. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter play the piano and dance. Mr. Blake was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church, and had resided in Lufkin for the past 31 years.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Blake of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kenny Cook of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Cne' Blake of Lufkin; grandchildren, Damon Dunman, Diana Dunman, Walker Blake, and Jackson (Jeb) Blake, all of Lufkin; step-grandson, Trent Cook of Lufkin; sister, Betty Harbuck of Lufkin; niece, Markye Adams of Lufkin; and nephews, Bill Harbuck and Blake Harbuck, both of Lufkin.
Preceding Mr. Blake in death were his parents, Travis and Bonnie Blake, and brother-in-law, Delton Harbuck.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
