Martha A. Brown

Graveside services for Martha A. Brown, 64, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chester with Reverend Vernon Austin officiating.

Ms. Brown was born January 18, 1947 in Woodville, Texas to the late Dorothy (Blalock) and Bill Mathis, and died Friday, October 28, 2011 in a local hospital. She had resided in Lufkin for 10 years and was a member of the Chester Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Brown and Glenn McDaniel, Angie and Wilbert Denning, Tonya Brown, all of Lufkin, and Stephanie Ammons of Trinity; grandchildren, Jessica Brown, Amber Pillows, Chris Brown, Courtney Brown, Derrick Wilson, Anthony Brown, Zach Brown, James Cody Smith, Janie Smith, Jasmine McDaniel, Alyia McDaniel and Mya McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Zaniya Gebrekiden, L-Trent Gebrekiden and Sidney Addison; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Brenda Reynolds of Tomball; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Reynolds.

Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Derrick Wilson, Anthony Brown, Cody Smith, Glenn McDaniel and Wilbert Denning.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Wednesday morning at Carroway Funeral Home.
