Jean Walker Reynolds

Funeral services for Jean Walker Reynolds, 86, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Mark Wilke officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Reynolds was born July 23, 1925 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Laura Ethel (Cruse) and Howard Walker. She died Monday, November 7, 2011 in a Huntington nursing facility.
Mrs. Reynolds had lived in Lufkin most of her life and co-owned Jeff's Hobby Shop for more than 15 years. She was a member of Carpenters Way Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Shirley Reynolds of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Kenneth Mechell of Lufkin; brothers, David Walker of Lufkin, Bob Walker of Houston; sisters, Marilyn Thornton of Overland Park, Kansas, Ruth Bradford of Dallas, and Ann Harris of Sherman; grandchildren, Scott Reynolds of Iowa, Natalie Mechell of Lufkin, Chad Reynolds of Augusta, Georgia, LeAnn Reynolds of Lubbock, and Christopher Reynolds of Lufkin; great grandchildren, Katie, Benjamin and Nicholas Reynolds; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding Mrs. Reynolds in death were her husband, Jeff B. Reynolds; her parents, Howard and Ethel Walker; son, Robert J. Reynolds; and brother, Joe Walker.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
