Graveside services for Charles Thomas McCaskill, 78, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Treadwell Cemetery with Brother Blackie Cranford officiating.
Mr. McCaskill was born June 29, 1933 in Sheridan, Arkansas, and went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 9, 2011.
Mr. McCaskill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was married to Jo McCaskill for 25 years where they made their home in Lufkin after moving from Pasadena, Texas.
Being in construction since his early years as a young boy there was nothing that he could not build. Founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Colonel Sanders, had enough faith and confidence to hire him to build all the KFC restaurants across the United States and Hawaii. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him and everyone that was touched by his loving heart. Mr. McCaskill was a member of Southmore Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Jo McCaskill of Lufkin; brother, Clayton McCaskill of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; sisters, Ruby Robinson and husband Ryland Robinson, Jr. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Retha Puckett and husband Conrad Puckett of Pasadena, Texas; along with several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Esther McCaskill; mother, Lina (Bryant) McCaskill; brother, James McCaskill; and sister, Linda Maxwell, all of Arkansas.
