Crit Adrian Russell

Funeral services for Crit Adrian Russell, 81, of Diboll will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Russell was born December 11, 1929 in Time, Texas to the late Annie Florence (Bragg) and Crit Cecil Russell, and died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in a local nursing home. He had resided in Diboll for 48 years and retired from the Wildlife Management Department of Champion International following 35 years of employment. Mr. Russell served in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Keith Childers of Dripping Springs and Monica and Mark Gilbert of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Adrian and Janet Russell of Hardin, Anthony and Stacy Russell of Lockhart and Gary Reeves of Lufkin; grandchildren, Crit, Charles, Brandon, Aaron and Zach Russell, Wendy White, Jennilea Chase, Kory and Trey Russell, Magen and Chrissa Reeves, Erika and Kenny Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Ty and Taylor Chase, Cole and Carsyn White, and Hannah Andrusick; brother and sister-in-law, Perry and Shirley Russell of Newton; sister-in-law, Dee Russell of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Russell; granddaughter, Rebecca Gilbert; and brother, Cecil Russell.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Gilbert, Charles ""Chalupe"" Haynie, Mike Russell, Zach Russell, Tommy Chase and Steven White.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Albro, Danny Frankum, J.D. Johnson, Vernon Burkhalter, Jermaine Albro, and the members of the Round Table.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
