Leslie M. Segrest

Memorial services for Leslie M. ""Les"" Segrest, 75, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ora Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Adrian Neal officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Segrest was born September 21, 1936 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Lillie (Gaston) and Johnny Marvin Segrest, and died Monday, December 19, 2011 in a local hospital. He had resided in Huntington for more than 50 years and had worked for Moore Brothers Construction and Lufkin Industries.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Segrest of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Tim Sutton of Winnsboro; grandchildren and spouses, Amy and Randy Whitworth, David and Shannon Grim, all of Winnsboro, Melinda and Allen Stout of Scroggins, Justin and Ashley Segrest and Brittany and Kyle Oliver, all of Huntington; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye Bobbitt of Lufkin and Nell Brashear of Burke; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Segrest was preceded in death by his son, John Mark Segrest; two brothers; and two sisters.
