Mrs. Case was born August 5, 1925 in Eunice, Louisiana to Harvey Patrick and Euphria Grace (Tipps) Combest. She passed from this life to be united with her Lord Tuesday, December 27, 2011.

Although Mrs. Case worked often as a clerk or bookkeeper in various enterprises, her talents as a homemaker brought her chief joys in life. An excellent seamstress, she also loved to cook and share her culinary talents with family and friends. As she became homebound in later years, these activities were replaced by scripture reading, listening to her favorite cd's, watching her favorite pastors on tv, and praying for her family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Charles Richard Case and wife Patti of Garland; daughter, Cheryl Louise Case Lamont and husband Jimmy of Lufkin; grandchildren, Christopher Case, Lauren Case Higgins, both of Garland, Jad Anthony O'Connor and Jacquilyn AngelMarie O'Connor of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Landen Case, Kylie Higgins and Violet Case, all of Garland; sister, Evelyn Miller and husband Buddy of Longview; brother, David R. Combest and wife Judy of Longview; sisters-in-law, Toni Combest of Pittsburg, Jeri Combest of Longview and Wanda Combest of Winnsboro, Louisiana; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.P. and Euphria Combest; husband, Lemuel Richard Case; grandson, John Richard O'Connor; sister, Patricia Combest; and brothers, Joe Dean Combest, Floyd Combest and wife Vilaree, Horace Combest and wife Inga, Felton Combest, Wallace Combest, and Preston Combest.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Case's grandsons and nephews.
